Apple wants $2,299 for a maxed-out Mac Mini M6. I’m a new grad with $0 and a dream of running local models, so I’m auctioning the one surface everyone sees: the lid. 10 spots. Live auction. Every bid is a real Polar payment. Get outbid? Your money stays committed—you only pay the difference to retake your spot. Top bid when the countdown hits zero gets printed as die-cut vinyl, with photo proof on X. Starting prices total exactly $2,299. Sell every spot, fund the machine to the dollar.
Hey PH 👋 Maker here.
This started as a joke about adtech ("one extremely engaged daily active user, plus every photo of the machine online, forever") and became a real invoice. The mechanic I'm most proud of stealing: committed money never leaves the table. When you're outbid, swinging back costs only the difference — which turns every outbid email into a tiny hostage negotiation.
Built with Next.js + Polar + Neon. The countdown ends Sept 9. The FAQ answers "Is this a joke?" with "The invoice is real."
Ask me anything — especially "why."
