Hello Product Hunt! As a creator of many Telegram bots, I realized that every time I needed to re-implement the same features, such as sending usage stats to an analytics service, chatting with bot users, and receiving alerts on my bots' misbehavior, among others. So, I extracted all that — and more — into a service I called BotPresto. It acts as a low-latency, transparent proxy that forwards Telegram calls to your endpoint without alteration, extracts analytics data, and provides an additional reliability layer. Another thing I realized is that in an attempt to increase my bots' usage, it's not enough to just get someone to connect a bot. I actually need to help users start using it. For that, I came up with a drip marketing solution, which allows me to send, in automated fashion, educational content to everyone who connected a specific bot, explaining how using that bot will be helpful. This is still a work in progress, and the first launch doesn't include it, but I'm hard at work finishing that part. I'm looking forward to your feedback, bot creators!

Great question! First of all, it's about peace of mind: I know that I'll be notified immediately about any problems, or can enable maintenance mode for any of my bots if it starts misbehaving etc. I haven't yet done much promotion of my bots, so, I've only recently started analyzing data from Mixpanel. Probably, the most useful part for me _at this moment_ is the (yet unreleased) drip marketing feature that allows me to communicate to all my bots' subscribers and get them engaged. I really need to launch it publicly asap.

For example, you'll be able to create automated marketing campaigns based on various triggers such as "bot connected", "bot command send", "campaign finished", etc. I can't provide exact dates, but I'm constantly using it myself and thus keep improving it. If you're interested, I could maybe add you as a very early alpha tester. Hi Max, BotPresto seems like a great tool for Telegram bot creators. I'm curious about the error recovery and alerting features. Could you share more details on how these work? For example, what types of errors can it detect, and what options do developers have for customising alerts?

Thanks, also for good questions! In case your endpoint doesn't respond correctly to Telegram (and we proxy those requests, remember? so we know if it wouldn't), we will: 1) tell the end user about the problem (instead of failing silently), 2) inform you as the developer via the BotPresto bot about the issue (e.g. the status of the response).
