Hi Product Hunt! I'm the maker of BillsToHours, a free tool that connects monthly budgeting with overtime planning.
The idea is to connect two questions: how much is left after the bills I enter, and how could extra work change that balance?
You can:
- Enter take-home pay or estimate income from hourly pay.
- Add bills, spending, and planned reserves.
- Estimate extra weekly hours for a budget gap or a monthly goal.
- Include your deduction assumptions and the added costs of working more.
- Compare your budget before and after overtime.
There is no signup or bank connection. Financial calculations run in your browser, with optional saving on your device. The site includes the formulas and an example scenario so you can check how the estimates work.
The current version uses USD and your own pay, deduction, and cost assumptions. It does not calculate federal or state taxes.
I'd welcome feedback on the before-and-after comparison: is it clear what overtime adds after costs, and whether a budget gap remains?
