That’s a very important consideration, especially for locations with intermittent connectivity. The platform can be configured with an offline-first workflow, allowing essential operations such as sales entry, customer records, and receipt generation to continue locally when the internet drops.
Once the connection is restored, the queued transactions can automatically sync with the central server. The sync process can also include duplicate prevention, conflict handling, and alerts for any records that require review. Features that depend on real-time connectivity, such as online payments or live cross-branch stock updates, may remain temporarily limited while offline.
We can tailor the offline mode based on the exact workflow and connectivity conditions of each branch. How many locations in Rwanda would need offline support, and which operations must continue during an outage.
Finally tried BIG POS for a small shop setup and the multi-branch view is genuinely useful, lets you see stock movement across locations without a mess of spreadsheets. The barcode scanning feels snappy too.
