Free desktop app for API work on localhost: *.localhost proxying with capture, a client for REST/GraphQL/gRPC/SOAP/WebSocket/MCP & more, proxy-level mocks, git-synced workspaces, visual flows, a local mail inbox, and an agent-ready CLI. Windows, macOS, Linux.

I build APIs for a living, and my localhost setup had become a junk drawer β one tool for local domains, one for traffic inspection, one API client, a mock server, a mail catcher. Bifurc is all of that in one free desktop app:
π Proxy β every local service gets a *.localhost name with HTTPS; capture traffic from anything
π§ͺ API client β REST, GraphQL, gRPC, SOAP, WebSocket, SSE, Socket.IO, MCP, webhooks
π Mocks β served at the proxy layer, with scenarios and contract checks against the real API
π Flows (new!) β chain requests visually, branch and loop, load-test, or generate a flow from captured traffic
π¬ Mail inbox (new!) β a local SMTP catch-all that extracts sign-in codes and links from your app's email
π€ Agent CLI (new!) β a command line built for AI agents, with a policy file that can deny calls or hold them for human approval
Everything stays on your machine: workspaces sync through your own git repos, and secrets are stored as encrypted vaults. It's built entirely in Rust β no Electron β and this release adds the first macOS builds next to Windows and Linux.
Free, no account, no paid tier. It's early-stage β I built it for my workflow, use it daily, and I'm fixing and refining it as I go. I'd love your feedback β especially what your current setup does that Bifurc doesn't yet.
I tried this and it is truly a time saver for me. Time to ditch postman and get onto Bifurc. I don't like the name but the app is great and fast. Gets the work done quick.
@pratikstemkarΒ Thanks for using the app but almost all names are taken
