The Ben Platform API is a self-serve API built on top of Ben that enables developers to add a wallet to any product or service. You can programmatically onboard users into their Bitcoin and Ether wallets (with support for ERC-20 tokens), create tailored lessons, and send news or updates via push notification about your use case.

Hi PH! At Ben, we are on a mission to drive mass adoption to the use cases behind cryptocurrency. In the last few months, we've been talking to a lot of developers in the space, sharing what we are learning from our users, and looking for ways to bridge the gap between them. Our Platform API enables easy access and adoption of new use cases and applications by providing them with a BTC and ETH wallet (with ERC-20/721 support), as well as tools to onboard, educate, and engage their users. This will soon be a self-serve API, but in the meantime, we are looking for use cases to provide early access.

We use this on College Pulse–a social polling app that rewards students for taking surveys. Setting up the bitcoin reward was seamless and led to higher retention.

Pros:

Super easy to use and set up!

Cons:

as early beta user, there were a couple bugs that Ben fixed right away
