BBRouter is a 3D breadboard editor and simulator in the browser. Lay out boards, chips and wires as you'll build them; the circuit runs the whole time. 211 real chips, Ben Eater's 8-bit computer and 6502, Arduino sketches on emulated AVRs, a scope on any hole. Works on a phone by touch and on a laptop by trackpad. Every project is a public page: fork it, star it, show it on the forum, browse the featured ones. Free to start, and your AI can drive it over MCP.

Hi everyone, Guillaume here, I made BBRouter.
After building an 8-bit computer on a breadboard for real (Ben Eater's), I wanted a breadboard on screen that I could trust to match reality: the same holes, the same wire sizes, the same mistakes. So BBRouter lays out boards, chips and solid-core wires in 3D, hole to hole, and simulates the circuit as you wire it. When it works on screen, the build sheet tells you every part's pin-1 hole and every wire's cut length, and Warnings tells you what a real build would get wrong before you cut anything.
Some things people like:
- Ben Eater's 8-bit computer and his 6502 run in it, part number for part number.
- Drop in a KiCad, EasyEDA, Digital or Logisim netlist and Auto-route wires it onto the boards.
- Real Arduino sketches run on an emulated Nano, Uno or Mega, uploaded from the Arduino IDE.
- A scope on any hole, slow motion, Step, and the registers and RAM readable while it runs.
- It works on a phone by touch, and on a laptop with the trackpad: two fingers to pan, pinch to zoom, drag to orbit. Same editor, same project.
- Every project can have public page, like a GitHub repo: fork one, star it, post it in the forum's Showcase, vote on feature requests. The featured gallery is at bbrouter.com/featured.
- It's an MCP server too: Claude or ChatGPT can build and run circuits in your account, with every change audited.
It's free for projects up to 200 parts, with a Maker plan for bigger builds, branches and the AI.
English, French and Spanish for now.
For reference, here was the first real version, next to the more polished virtual one.
I'd love to hear what you build and what gets in your way.
