Does it keep alerting if I’m already in the sweet spot between 30 and 80, or only when it crosses those thresholds?

It will only alarm the the limit is lower and grater then the defined threashold.
Does the alarm still trigger if my phone is on silent, or do I need to keep sound on to actually catch the low battery warning before it shuts off?

Yes, It will alarm. Although I have tested on limited number of actual devices.
Finally an app that actually alerts me at the right percentages without spamming me every 5%. Set it to 80% and forgot about it, the chime caught me right as I needed to unplug.

Finally an app that nags me at 80 percent instead of just letting my phone cook overnight on the charger. The simple slider for the alert thresholds is a nice touch.
