Hi everyone!
About four months ago, myself and my coworkers at Black Magic Consulting, our web development firm, needed to find a new Business chequing account. After cursory research, we decided to go with the National Bank of Canada's E-Package.
After all the papers were signed, however, we discovered that it really wouldn't suit our needs. The web UI was extremely outdated, customer support was difficult to get a hold of, and their support documentation was underwhelming, to put it mildly.
So we started collecting information about alternatives, and organized it all in a big spreadsheet. After a while, the spread sheet became unwieldy, so I built a UI for it, and Bank Hunt was accidentally born.
There are other comparison sites. But they tend to make their money via either direct advertising, or referral linking, which we think tends to muddy the waters in terms of honest reviews. So we're doing things differently.
All the information we've collected about personal banking products is absolutely free for anyone to review. Business owners can pay a yearly fee to access our business account listings, and our organized list of small business grants - but if you sign up to our waitlist, you'll get full access for free.
While we're not quite ready to launch, it's time to start getting feedback on what we're working on. I'm interested in knowing what you think, and can answer any questions.
Thanks!
