Hi everyone 👋
I built BandPeak because I am an introvert, and for years that made learning English quietly painful.
I understood grammar. I knew vocabulary. But the moment I had to speak, I froze. Speaking classes felt like a stage I never wanted to be on. Language exchanges drained me. And every time I practiced alone, I had no idea if I was actually improving or just repeating the same mistakes with more confidence. There was no feedback, only silence.
So the problem I set out to solve was this: how do you get real, honest feedback on your English without needing to perform in front of anyone?
BandPeak is my answer. It is an all in one English platform where you practice speaking, writing, listening, and reading at your own pace, in your own space, and an AI coach grades your work across the official criteria and tells you exactly where you stand and what to fix next. No pressure, no audience, just steady progress you can measure.
What changed most while building it was my definition of the goal. I started out trying to build an IELTS grader. But I kept coming back to the real need underneath it: a calm, private place to grow from beginner English all the way to exam ready, one skill at a time. That is what BandPeak became.
If you have ever felt too shy to practice out loud, this one is for you. I would love your honest feedback. 🙏

Honestly the spaced repetition for vocab sounds really solid, but what would push this further for me is a speaking partner feature that actually mimics an examiner and flags filler words or awkward pauses in real time. Kind of like a mock interview that grades you on fluency not just pronunciation. Would make the speaking practice way less awkward to do alone.

Tried the listening dictation section and it flagged a couple of filler words I genuinely missed on the first pass, which was a nice gut check. Band score estimates felt a bit generous though, curious how they calibrate those over time.

honestly the spaced repetition for vocab words is what got me, it actually sticks compared to just grinding lists. mock exam feedback came back faster than i expected too.
