Our Origins & Mission Originally founded a decade ago by Kenan Habibov and Hamid Aminzade, Baku Jukebox started with a primary focus on broadcasting music from the 1960s and 1970s, while always remaining open to diverse genres across all eras. From its inception, the platform's core mission has been the popularization and preservation of Azerbaijani music. AI-Driven Revitalization Recently, the platform was fundamentally revitalized through the technical innovations of Murad Mammadov. Leveraging modern artificial intelligence, Murad successfully brought the project's original, long-standing vision to life: a unique website interface designed entirely in a retro Teletext style. Historically, this specific aesthetic was highly complex to implement due to a lack of dedicated development libraries, but AI-driven development made this architectural feat possible. Empowering the Community Baku Jukebox extends its influence beyond digital broadcasting to actively support emerging creators and contemporary art. The project consistently engages with the cultural scene by hosting dedicated vinyl nights and fostering ongoing collaborations with local music festivals and art cafes.
