Capture tools don't beautify. Beautify apps make you upload. Backlit does both in your browser: capture any region, tab, or full page → instant gradient backdrop, frame & shadow → copy or export. Nothing leaves your machine. Free.

I kept hitting the same two-step: a capture extension grabs the screenshot, then I'd upload it to a separate web app to put it on a nice background. Two tools, an upload, and my screenshot on someone else's server.
Backlit collapses that into one: 1) capture a region/tab/full page, 2) instantly wrapped in a gradient backdrop, a clean frame, and a soft shadow, 3) copy or export. One click, never leaves your browser.
It's free; I'm a solo maker and I'd love feedback on the defaults. There are a couple of locked "Pro" surfaces (video, HD, custom backdrops) — those are me gauging what people would pay for before I build them, so a tap is a vote, not a checkout.
