Hi Product Hunt, I wanted an instrument you can play before you know any music theory. So in ATLoop you don't place notes on a grid — you draw. A line on the upper belt becomes a melody or a bassline (height is pitch, the shape is the phrase), and circles, squares, triangles and stars on the lower belt become drums. Everything snaps to a scale, so it's hard to make something that sounds wrong. The part I had the most fun with is the belts themselves. They're two independent loops that scroll on their own, and you can grab either one and scrub it — speed it up, drag it backwards, let it spin back. Closer to a turntable than a DAW. No signup to play: hit "Start random" and you're already inside a track. If you want to keep it, you sign in with your Bluesky account and the loop is saved as a record in your own AT Protocol repo, then shows up in the shared gallery next to everyone else's. Built solo, runs entirely in the browser (headphones recommended). I'd love to hear what you make — and which sounds you want next.
