Since AssetLoom is an IT asset operations platform, we're curious to hear from anyone managing hardware, software, or IT equipment at their company:
What tool (if any) are you currently using to track your IT assets, and what's missing from it?
How do you currently handle equipment onboarding/offboarding for new hires or departing employees?
Are software license renewals and compliance something you track manually, or do you have a system for it?
We're building AssetLoom to solve these exact problems, and real answers from people who deal with this daily will help us shape what we build next. If you're open to it, we'd also love a few early testers :) comment below and we'll follow up.
We still rely on spreadsheets to track laptops and accessories. Adding new assets is easy, but keeping assignments and statuses accurate when employees change teams or leave is much harder. How does AssetLoom handle this?
@jennifer147Β Thatβs exactly where spreadsheets usually become difficult to maintain. In AssetLoom, we record every asset assignment and status change, giving your team a clear history of where each device has been and who was responsible for it. When employees change teams, transfer equipment, or leave the company, the asset record stays up to date, making it much easier to manage each item throughout its full lifecycle.
How does AssetLoom work for companies with several departments? We need for our local IT teams to manage their own inventories while our management still needs a company view.
@peter_tran18Β Yes, thatβs a common challenge for companies with multiple teams or offices. In AssetLoom, you can organize assets by department and location, so local IT teams can quickly see what they manage, where each item is, who has it, and its current status.
Management can still view everything across the company in the asset list or asset reports, without having to combine separate spreadsheets or ask each team for updates.
Congrats on the launch! π The UI looks clean. Just curious..does AssetLoom also handle software licenses and renewals?
