Static forms stop at the first answer. AskInstead doesn’t. Create a short conversation, share one link, and let recipients answer by voice or text without an account. AskInstead asks useful follow-ups when something is unclear, then returns an organized summary, structured fields, transcript, and recording. Use it for candidate screening, client discovery, maintenance intake, customer research, and more.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I’ve spent the last few years building AI automations for small businesses, and I kept running into the same problem across completely different workflows.
Client intake, candidate screening, maintenance requests, customer research — underneath, they were all basically the same: Someone needs information from another person, and the other person needs an easy way to give it.
A form is easy to send, but sometimes people would rather just explain something. And even when they fill it out, the first answer often creates another question. A call solves that, but now both people need to be there at the same time.
I wanted something in between, so I built AskInstead.
You tell it what you need to know, add your own questions or start from a template, then send one link. The recipient answers by voice or text, AskInstead asks short follow-ups when needed, and you get the answers back organized.
Still early, so I’d genuinely love feedback — especially on where you’d use something like this and whether the follow-ups feel useful or annoying.
