Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I’m Michael, the creator of Askee. I am incredibly excited to share it with you all today!
I built Askee out of pure frustration. I found myself constantly copy-pasting text, opening ChatGPT in a separate tab, and switching back and forth just to get a quick summary, translate a sentence, or understand a complex chart. It felt like unnecessary friction in my daily workflow.
Here is a quick look at what you can do with Askee:
Chat on any page: Ask questions about articles, Notion docs, Jira tickets, or Gmail threads.
Talk to YouTube videos: Summarise key points, or ask questions without saving you hours of watching videos.
Chat with files: Drop in a PDF, CSV, or JSON and dive straight into the data.
Highlight or screenshot to ask: Simply drag-select any text or grab a screenshot (like a confusing UI, a chart or error message) to ask about it instantly.
We have a free plan that lets you try it out right away, and a Pro plan if you want to unlock unlimited questions and web search.
I would love to hear what you think! What features would make this an indispensable part of your daily browsing? I’ll be here all day to answer your questions, chat, and hear your feedback.
Thank you so much for the support! 🚀

Would love a way to save my chats or export them as notes, kind of like a little research log I can come back to later. Right now once you close the popup the conversation is basically gone.

Highlighted a long article and asked a specific question, got the exact paragraph I needed without scrolling. Works surprisingly well on YouTube timestamps too.

The highlight-to-ask flow is genuinely satisfying, no extra clicks or menus to fight through. Love that it works the same way on docs and YouTube without needing separate modes.
