Archer replaces Chrome's new tab with one box. Type a site and it opens; type a question and it goes to ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google or your search engine. Free, open source (GPL-3.0), no account, no tracking.

Hi PH, I'm Tom. I liked one thing about ChatGPT Atlas: its new tab had a single box where I could type a question or a site without thinking about which it was. Atlas has since been discontinued, so I built that box for the Chrome I already use.
How it works: Archer checks what you typed against the real list of top-level domains. Addresses open directly (only http/https). Anything else goes to the destination you pick with the pills above the box: Search, ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity. Cmd/Ctrl+Enter forces "question", Shift+Enter forces "address".
Also in there: saved prompts with {{blanks}}, recent conversations and prompt history (opt-in), favourites, weather, file attachments, Markdown export, and optional answers right on the page with your own OpenAI API key.
Privacy: no server, no account, no telemetry. Settings and history stay in your browser. At install it asks only for search and storage; everything else is off until you turn it on.
It's free and GPL-3.0. Right now on-page answers need your own OpenAI key; I'm working on key-free options. I'd love to hear where the box guesses wrong.
