honestly this looks super useful for getting over the blank page fear. one thing i'd love is a way to adjust the transparency of the reference image while tracing, like a quick slider so you can fade it in and out as you get more comfortable drawing on your own. would make the learning curve way smoother.

A layer system would be a great addition so users can separate their sketch from the underlying image and adjust opacity independently. It would make refining lines and comparing work much easier without losing the original trace.
A solid concept and the AR overlay idea is genuinely useful for learners. One thing that would really level it up: add a way to slow down or lock onto specific anchor points along the reference so the strokes don't drift when you move the camera around. That drift breaks the flow mid-sketch more than anything else for me.
Took it for a quick spin and the AR overlay actually lines up well with my sketchbook, way better than I expected from a phone camera. Importing a reference image and having it project onto the page is genuinely useful for practicing proportions.
