Hope you all are doing well!
I am an entrepreneur with a background in design and data sciences who built scalable SaaS systems. During my journey building these systems, I have gone through several iterations to arrive at an optimal way of building scalable web applications. Here are some of my learnings:
- Many cloud-based serverless services work out-of-the-box and help swiftly iterate over web applications
- The crux of the matter is to declutter all the information and choose the right set of services to quickly start building web applications
- It is possible to build scalable applications from the conception phase in an auto-scale mode
- Web engineers can focus on the application and the business logic without worrying much about the infrastructure and operations
- A minimum viable product (MVP) can be built with these services for $0
But the biggest learning of them all is that anybody with little to no background in web development can learn to build these systems with a step-by-step approach. So I have decided to help people who want to build innovative web products by sharing my learnings with an ebook. Things I have tried to do in this ebook:
- Help with a bit of history of architectural design patterns to set the context
- Theory on how have we arrived at the current architecture design
- Hands-on exercises on the relevant AWS services used to build the web application
- A step-by-step exercise/tutorial to build and deploy a web application to demonstrate all the concepts learned
