Tap to turn. Don't hit the walls. Go one more lap. Animal Loop is a one-tap racing game where tiny animals roll around twisting tracks in their bodies. Every tap turns your racer. Hit the right rhythm through each corner, keep clear of the walls and see how fast you can go. New to Animal Loop? It takes one tap to learn. Each loop starts slow and speeds up a little at every checkpoint.

Why I built it
When the first iPad came out, a friend and I launched our first game, TicToe Fury. Right after that we sketched another idea on paper: Hamster Racing. A little animal curled into a ball, a looping track, and one button. We couldn’t get it where we wanted it, so we shelved it.
The idea never left me. This July I opened a blank Xcode project and started over. I built it for myself, my friends and my family: something quick and satisfying for a few spare minutes, that’s easy to pick up and hard to master. Making one tap feel fair across 27 tracks turned out to be the hard part. I ended up building my own level editor, a track analyzer and a bot that plays every track to set the difficulty.
What feedback would help most
The difficulty curve. Does each world ramp up smoothly, or is there a track where you hit a wall? Tell me which one.
The first minute. Did the one-tap controls click right away, or did it take a few tries?
The Grand Prix. Does racing nine tracks back to back against a rival feel like a fun ending to a world, or too long?
Your device. If you play on iPad, Mac or a foldable, I’d love to know how it feels there.
And if you beat my challengers, I want to hear about it.
