We built alt.vu for an unglamorous problem: you move to another country and the card you have carried for years quietly stops working. Not blocked with an explanation — just declined at the checkout of the thing you need today.
The usual answers take time you do not have in your first month abroad. A local bank account needs a residence permit. Wise and Revolut are not available everywhere. Meanwhile the subscriptions your work depends on are due now.
alt.vu is a dollar balance you top up with USDT or USDC on TRON, BNB Chain, Polygon or TON, and a virtual Visa card you spend it with. $25 to issue, no monthly fee, 1% on each purchase. Sign-up takes about two minutes and identity is verified with a passport.
What it is not: virtual only, so it will not help you at a physical terminal, and it does not work inside Russia. We would rather say that here than in a support ticket.
