AlphaGenome Atlas is Google DeepMind's AI-powered map of how genetic mutations may affect human biology. Built by precomputing AlphaGenome predictions for all 9 billion possible single-letter DNA changes, the 1-petabyte dataset lets researchers explore and prioritize variants across both coding and non-coding regions. It's free to explore through a visual web interface, with API and Antigravity access for deeper research.

Can the predictions show how a mutation might influence gene regulation or other biological processes?
This is insane !! I'm not in any way a biologist but it's fascinating that I, a mere pleb, can access such a huge dataset of mysterious biology. I can only imagine how valuable this API is going to be for genetics research and medicine. Great job Google and Deepmind!
This seems incredibly useful for hypothesis generation. Can researchers compare multiple mutations side by side?
9 billion DNA variants is honestly mind blowing. how accurate are the predictions across different types of mutations?
everyone here is reacting to the 9 billion, and i think that number is closer to the problem than the achievement. precomputing every possible single letter change means almost all of it is noise by construction, and deciding which ones are worth looking at was already the hard part.
