Alano is an open-source cat mascot built to fix a specific problem: AI-generated websites all look like the same because they lack character. A mascot is a perfect solution - use it in onboarding flow, chatbot, wherever. This repo pins each generation to fixed reference images and a locked style prompt, so the same mascot stays consistent across new poses, scenes, and short videos. Includes the reference set, generation scripts, and post-processing (cutouts, loops). Free for commercial use.

@jun_pham1 I've been wanting an animated character for one of my apps but I'm not an animator. Maybe this will help. Thank you!
@wilcosky Glad we could help you out Billy! 🙈
A LoRA training pipeline baked in would be huge so people can fine tune on their own character without wrestling with ComfyUI separately.
Thanks for the comments! In modern day image generation model such as GPT-Image 2 and Seedream 4.5 or above- it appears that character consistency is quite strong already. Is LoRA an overkill? 🤣
@selma1732277 One more idea goes into our note for upgrade!
Super useful approach to the consistency problem. One thing that would really help is a small web playground where you can drag in a scene description, see the locked style prompt applied automatically, and preview the result with the reference set before running scripts locally. Would lower the bar for designers who don't want to touch the CLI just to test a pose.
@mer1093757 Oh yeah, that's some great ideas you have their Ömer. Super super appreciate you for your feedback on this, and we will do our best to come up with another better updated version 💪🏻
@mer1093757 Brilliant ideas. Will factor this in v2!
finally something that actually keeps a mascot looking like itself across different poses, basically plugged in the reference images and it just worked without me fiddling for an hour
@reyhandedemli literally what we meant for this. Glad we could help, Reyhan!!
The consistency angle is the real win here. One thing that would make this even more useful is a small SDK wrapper, something like Python or JS, so I can drop the reference-locking logic straight into my existing pipeline instead of running the scripts by hand each time.
@nisanurnameli Hmmmm, noting this down right now Nisanur Nameli
Finally something that solves the cat inconsistency problem with image models. The locked style prompt plus fixed reference set is exactly what I needed for my side project clips.
Alano Masot in action https://www.bigfivetest.app/. Now tell me, how cute is this?
Having a mascot changed your product BIG TIME. Give a little character to it, make it more likeable, liveable - and much more loveable. Why not?
