As a parent, I kept seeing school administration struggle with presentation control during school events and functions — someone stuck at the laptop the whole time, awkward pauses between slides, no one free to actually engage with the room because they were tied to the keyboard. The presenter should be able to walk around, point at what matters, and run the show — not be anchored to a laptop. Dedicated clicker hardware only solves the "next slide" part; it doesn't solve the mouse, the pointer, or actually controlling the machine when something needs fixing mid-presentation. I wanted a phone — which everyone already has on them — to do all of that in one app. It started as a simple slide-advance remote for that one scenario. But watching how these events actually run, it became clear the same connection could do more: a trackpad for when someone needs to click something on screen, a gyroscope laser pointer for actually directing attention instead of just talking, PC power controls so no one has to walk back to the laptop to lock or wake it, and a cloud relay fallback since school Wi-Fi isn't always reliable enough for a local-only connection. What began as a slide clicker for one frustrating moment became a full presentation companion.
