Hi Product Hunt 👋
I’m the creator of AI Upscaler — a Chrome extension designed to enhance a pic, improve resolution of image quality, and reconstruct realistic texture and facial fidelity with modern diffusion reconstruction.
I decided to build it after testing many image enhancer tools and noticing the same problems over and over again:
• blurry or distorted faces on small subjects
• “plastic” textures after enhancement
• oversharpened results that look artificial
• outdated models producing plastic-looking surfaces
Most AI upscalers simply stretch pixels.
AI Upscaler uses state-of-the-art technology to reconstruct realistic surfaces, hair, skin, and facial features instead of just enlarging the visual.
The goal was simple: create a picture upscaler that produces sharper and more natural-looking results.
How it works
1. Install AI Upscaler from the Chrome Web Store
2. Upload an visual or right-click any picture on the page
3. Choose 2×, 3×, or 4× upscale
4. Compare before/after and download the ai upscaled version
Key features
• Facial feature and surface reconstruction
• Better handling of small faces and generated artwork
• Natural-looking textures without the plastic effect
• Fast upscaler workflow with drag & drop support
What makes it different
• Uses modern single-step diffusion reconstruction techniques
• Preserves realistic materials, hair, and skin detail
• Produces cleaner results on compressed and low-res images
• Focused on visual realism instead of aggressive sharpening
Would love to hear your feedback on my AI upscaler and your ideas for improving it 🙌

Congrats on the launch, Anton! Single-step diffusion (SeedVR2) is a smart pick — most upscalers either smear detail or take forever, so getting real facial/texture reconstruction fast is the hard part. Right-click-any-image-on-a-page is a nice touch too. Curious: does the heavier 4× run in-browser or via your backend? Great work! 🎉
