Curious about the privacy side here. If everything is anchored on a public blockchain, how do families control who can actually see sensitive details like birth records or living members, since those need to be shielded from the public ledger?
@hamideilekhhu1 Great question. We don't store personal or family data on the blockchain. Birth records, photos, documents, and information about living family members remain securely encrypted off-chain, with full privacy controls that let families decide who can access what.
The blockchain only stores cryptographic hashes (digital fingerprints) and timestamps to verify authenticity and prove that records haven't been altered. This gives families the benefits of immutability and long-term verification without exposing sensitive information on a public ledger.
support for polygamous family structures is something you rarely see done well, and AfriX actually maps it out cleanly without forcing you into a single-parent mold. the multilingual name handling is also surprisingly thoughtful.
