ADWARTISE is a paid internet meme on a 25×25 canvas. Place an image, GIF, video, and optional link across 1–21 cells. Anyone can overwrite occupied cells for their current price + $1. Every previous layer stays public. Today’s ads are demos.
When Outbid showed up, the internet was fun again for a couple of days. Then came the clones. Then clones of the clones. Then clones explaining why they weren’t clones. I stopped resisting and pushed it to the stupidest possible conclusion.
ADWARTISE is Outbid crossed with The Million Dollar Homepage and r/place, wrapped in the kind of interface people shipped before anyone asked a designer for permission. It’s a public 25×25 canvas. Pick a rectangle of 1–21 cells, upload an image, GIF or video, and add a link if you want.
Empty cells cost $1. To cover an occupied cell, pay its current price + $1. Add more per cell if you want revenge to be expensive. Every overwritten layer stays in public history. Right now both banners are mine. No buyers yet. The blue “ADWARTISE SUCKS” one is already trying to eat the red one. If people pick this up, the beautiful ugliness of the old web won’t be something to admire. We’ll make it ourselves.
