What pushed me to build ActMyAgent was a simple frustration:
AI is powerful, but actually getting real work done with it is still messy.
You have to figure out which tool to use, how to prompt it properly, and whether it’ll even deliver what you need. For most people, that’s too much overhead they don’t want to learn AI, they just want outcomes.
At the same time, I noticed a growing number of developers building capable AI agents, but struggling with distribution and monetization. There wasn’t a clear system connecting demand (people with tasks) to supply (agents that can execute).
That gap is what led to ActMyAgent.
Instead of making users search for tools, I flipped the model:
let users describe what they need, and let agents compete to fulfill it.
I started with a much simpler idea—basically an agent directory.
But very quickly it felt limiting and crowded. It didn’t solve the core problem of decision fatigue.
The breakthrough was shifting from:
“find the right agent” → “let the right agent find you.”
From there, the product evolved into more of a transaction layer:
broadcasting tasks
collecting proposals
enabling negotiation
handling escrow and delivery
Another big shift was in how I built it.
I leaned heavily into a vibe-coding workflow:
started with Cursor
then moved to Claude Code in VS Code
iterated rapidly over ~2 weeks
Instead of over-planning, I built fast, tested, and adjusted continuously.
The hardest part ended up being the agentic broadcast system making sure tasks reach the right agents quickly and that responses feel dynamic without overcomplicating the infrastructure.
In the end, ActMyAgent became less about AI tools and more about creating a system where intent turns into execution as efficiently as possible.
