Most meal planning apps still feel like a spreadsheet, but a quiet counter changes that. It was designed with one goal in mind: to reduce your mental load, and make you love cooking again. You can build a beautiful library of recipes from any source, and allow the Plan Ahead feature to help you pick what to eat this week. The grocery list is written automatically from your meal plan. The Stock feature tracks your fridge, freezer, and pantry stock automatically, and ensures nothing goes to waste.

Hello from the team behind a quiet counter.
We made it for people who want to eat more variety, but don't have the time or capacity to sort through recipes and decide what to cook. It's designed to engage people in their nutrition more thoughtfully, and get them excited to be in the kitchen again. It does all of the recipe keeper classics like importing recipes from blogs, social media, and cookbook photos, as well as automatically building grocery lists.
The real magic is in the way it helps you build your meal plans based around seasonality, your nutrition, and how you like to eat.
It even includes an MCP server so that Claude or ChatGPT can step in and do everything from creating recipes, to scheduling meal plans and more. "Plan my week with a quiet counter" is literally all you need to say to get started, no hallucinated or missing grocery list items.
A few things we cared about:
Your own recipes. Paste a link and the ingredients and method come across.
The freezer counts. Tell it what's in there and the list marks those items instead of asking you to buy them again. The night before, it reminds you to take food out.
What's in season where you live, by hemisphere, so the week can follow the market.
Discover, where recipe creators share single dishes, collections and whole weeks you can add in one tap.
No streaks, no badges, no messages to bring you back.
Planning, the grocery list, link imports and Recommendations are free. With a quiet counter plus you get a shared household, imports from reels, photos and cookbook pages, and the plant and rainbow counts.
It's on iPhone, Android and the web. We'd like to hear what's missing for the way you plan your week.
