A free NFL strategy simulator that runs in your browser. Every day everyone gets the same real late-game NFL drive: the real score, clock, timeouts, quarterback and receivers. You call every play, the tempo and the timeouts, and a Monte Carlo engine built on every NFL play since 2016 grades each call on win probability before the result is revealed. Then see how the real head coach's calls grade on the same scale. Practice, Survivor and friend challenges included. No sign-up.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
We built the 2 Minute Drill Game for everyone who has ever yelled at the TV about late-game clock management and thought "I would have called that better." It puts you on the sideline for the final minutes of a real NFL game, so you can find out.
🏈 How it works
• Each day there is one daily drive, the same for everyone. The score, clock, down and distance, timeouts, and the actual quarterback, receivers and kicker all come from a real NFL game.
• You call every play: runs, passes, screens, deep shots, spikes, timeouts, field goals, two-point tries, and the hurry-up / huddle / milk-the-clock tempo between snaps. When the other team has the ball, you pick the defensive look too.
• Before each result is revealed, the engine plays out the rest of the game hundreds of times for every option you could have picked. Your grade is how much win chance your call gave up versus the best option: green, yellow, orange or red.
• At the end you get a percentile against 4,000 simulated NFL play-callers, your rank among today's players, the head coach whose late-game style yours most resembles, and the real coach's calls on the same drive graded on the same scale. Yes, you can out-call Sean Payton.
🧠 Why it is a simulator, not a quiz
There is no single "right answer" baked into a drive. Outcomes are drawn from real NFL plays (nflverse play-by-play, plus FTN charting for play-action, RPOs, screens and blitzes), and the model accounts for the point spread, your receivers and your kicker's range. A smart pass that falls incomplete still gets a green check; a lucky bomb gets called a gamble. On 600 held-out 2024–2025 situations the engine's win probability scored a Brier score of 0.160 against real results, slightly better than the public nflfastR model (0.166). The full methodology is on the About page.
🎮 Ways to play
• Daily drive: one real two-minute drill a day, with a streak and shareable colored squares.
• Archive: every past daily drive is still playable.
• Practice: unlimited real late-game situations from 2016 to today (trailing, leading or tied).
• Survivor: real fourth quarters back to back, getting harder, until you lose one. Overtime is played out under current NFL rules.
• Challenge a friend: send a link that replays the exact same drive and puts both scores side by side.
Rookie mode gives you a few big buttons if you are new to football; flip to Pro for the full 27-call playbook with per-receiver catch rates and interception rates.
It is free, works on phone and desktop, and needs no download or account. It is a fan-made project and is not affiliated with the NFL.
We would love your feedback, especially from football fans: which call did the engine grade differently from what you expected? And if you beat the real coach on today's drive, drop your percentile below 👇
