1Retro backs up and syncs your retro game saves across RetroArch, MiSTer FPGA, OnionOS, Miyoo Mini, and desktop emulators. Free to start.

Hi Product Hunt! I'm Hans, and I built 1Retro because I kept losing game saves I cared about.
Retro saves live in fragile places: an SD card in a handheld, a RetroArch folder on a PC, a battery-backed chip inside a 30-year-old cartridge. Every one is a single point of failure, and none of them talk to each other. I was playing the same game on a MiSTer at my desk and a handheld on the couch, and my progress didn't follow me. It felt absurd that my Steam library gets this automatically while the games I've cared about for decades don't.
I assumed this was a file-sync problem. It isn't. Every emulator and device names and stores saves differently, so "just copy the folder" gives you conflicts and clobbered progress. The approach evolved into something deeper: per-device layouts (RetroArch, MiSTer, OnionOS handhelds, Steam Deck and more), full version history so a bad write can never destroy a good save, parsers that read the save and show what's actually inside, and a library you can export in full, so you're never locked to my service (an open save format spec is in the works).
The part I never planned: physical cartridges. Plug a Game Boy cart into a GB Operator and 1Retro backs up the save straight off the chip, next to everything else.
It's free to start. I'd love to hear two things: your worst lost-save story, and which device you'd want supported next.
finally something that keeps my miyoo and retroarch saves in sync without me babysitting folders. dropped it on the mister last night and it just picked up where i left off
