An inflatable, one-of-a-kind travel bag

more info

ZIPPELIN is a rolling travel bag: spacious when you need it, compact when you don't. As all other bags by Freitag, it is hand-cut in Switzerland from recycled truck tarps.

Freitag's bags are really unique, and they found an ingenious way to make a rolling travel bag without a heavy frame (they replace it with a simple inflatable bike tire).

Great, now I'll only need to take a pump everywhere I travel. Why it couldn't be made out of any other light material? Just like millions of other travel bags?

I like the idea, but I don't know how long a bag like this would actually survive when taking it on an airplane. I have a hard - case suitcase, and when I travel, It seriously has tons of scratches, and first time I used it my lock was already crooked. It is pretty known that airport staff isn't careful with our bags, which I understand if you have to load, unload day in day out in a certain time frame.
