Hello Product Hunt! I am Dippan, the developer behind ZeroShare. I built ZeroShare because I was frustrated with the current state of file sharing. Traditional platforms require you to upload your sensitive data to their centralized servers, which introduces artificial file size limits, bandwidth throttling, and unnecessary privacy vulnerabilities. I wanted a trustless, decentralized alternative that works instantly in the browser. How ZeroShare Works: ZeroShare completely bypasses the cloud. It establishes a direct, peer-to-peer connection between two devices. Before a single byte of data leaves your machine, it is encrypted locally. Core Technical Features: Absolute End-to-End Encryption: Utilizes the native Web Crypto API for AES-256-GCM chunk encryption. Keys are mathematically derived via an Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman (ECDH) exchange and never transmitted. No File Size Limits: To prevent memory crashes on mobile devices, massive files are read, encrypted, and streamed in strict 64KB chunks over a WebRTC Data Channel. Robust Network Routing: Integrated STUN and Metered TURN relays to ensure the P2P connection reliably punches through strict corporate and mobile NAT firewalls. Progressive Web App: Fully installable, requiring no app store downloads or server-side accounts. The entire project is open-source. As a student developer deeply interested in network architecture and cybersecurity, I built this to test the limits of modern browser APIs.
