Zenrain turns Buddhist sutras into visual meditation. Calligraphic characters from 10 Mahayana texts fall like rain in three parallax layers, paired with 9 real-time synthesized soundscapes — temple bells, ocean, brown noise, rain, and more. Daily practice: verse → breathing → timed sit → dedication. A Bodhi tree grows with your streak. Dark mode only. No ads. No account. No data collection. Fully offline.

Hi Product Hunt! I'm the solo developer behind Zenrain.
The idea started simple: I wanted a way to settle my mind before meditation without relying on
guided audio. I'm a Buddhist practitioner, and I kept thinking — what if I could just watch sutras
fall like rain?
So I built it. The text rain uses calligraphic Chinese characters from 10 Mahayana sutras, falling
in three depth layers. All 9 soundscapes (temple bells, ocean, rain, brown noise, etc.) are
synthesized in real-time — there are zero audio files in the app.
A few things I'm proud of:
- The daily practice mode (verse → breathing → sit → dedication) with a Bodhi tree that grows with
your streak
- Completely offline, no account, no data collection
- Dark mode only — it's meant for contemplation, not productivity
I'd love to hear your thoughts. What role does visual experience play in your meditation or focus
practice?
