In our world of instant messaging and immediate responses, there's something beautiful about waiting. About taking time to craft a thoughtful message, knowing it won't arrive until tomorrow. It encourages more deliberate communication, more meaningful exchanges. The concept is simple; you write a letter, hit send, and your recipient gets it exactly 24 hours later. No notifications, no read receipts, no pressure for immediate responses. Just the gentle anticipation of correspondence, like the old days when checking the mailbox was a daily ritual. We've optimized communication for speed, but somewhere along the way, we lost the art of patience. Yuubin isn't about being slow for the sake of being slow β€” it's about creating space for thoughtfulness. Show your support by writing more letters, sharing with your friends.

Such a nice concept! I can see how it would be nice to receive such a letter on your birthday or something

Congrats on the launch, just upvoted! This reminds me a bit of a mobile app I used to love, I believe it was called Slowly. I'm curious: aside from platform differences, how do you see this standing apart?

Adam Rofayel

@ha_anh_nguyenΒ thanks! umm its not an alternative for Slowly tbh, it is a project made in a week as part of a hackathon. but seeing the community support, we will definitely try to make it stand apart from slowly and a unique platform to connect with people.

Congrats on the launch @rofayel
This is an interesting concept. I remember there used to be a dating app with a similar concept, especially popular in european countries.

A refreshingly structured workspace for prompt engineers β€” PromptForge makes testing and refining prompts feel like real software development.

Hey Adam,
(same name, cool am I right ?)

Are you open to feature requests ?
I'd like to propose one that I feel could be easily deployed (I'm not into coding so i don't know...) - a way for the user to see the message they sent. When you access a message history with another user inside the inbox, you're able to read messages that have been received, but not sent. You can only do so once you get an answer back. Subsequently, you're not able to read what the initial message that prompted the user's response that you're responding to, in that case you have to open a second tab which in terms of design, is not very convenient.
Or you could just make all letters sent readable from the time it has been sent. To put it simply, it takes two days after your letter has been sent to receive one from the user you're exchanging with. During that time I almost forgot what I wrote !

It's a bit confusing ^^'

Congrats on your work ! That's amazing and scratched an itch for a need I didn't know I had ! Reminds me of the age of online penpals :)
In terms of design, even though it could be improved, I find that it is comforting and very welcoming and it ticks 80% of all boxes. And you knew how to make something minimalistic that works. I'm sure it can be scalable in the future (Though in my opinion I don't envision this website as a premium product with bloat, keep it simple please !! :p )

Much appreciation,

Adam
