@kingromstar We believe we can hang in there for sure. We just have to make sure we scale properly as we grow. Right now it’s pretty manageable. We plan on adding live streaming as well so that will add cost. As long as we stay healthy that’s the key, but we should be ok especially once we raising funding 😁.

This is very interesting! I have been in the creator field for a bit but more dipping my toes, I think this is an exciting time for creators- I think your platform has potential! A few questions- do you plan on releasing an app? - currently I see primarily Gaming based content and at least via mobile I dont see many categories, do plan you to expand that or become more centered on certain niches? - what is your copyright protection / policy for creators? Is the content meant to be exclusive to app? Very cool and good job!

Yes, I myself started working on the mobile app and hope to finish within the next few months, which will have more features such as notifications/subscribe system etc... 2. Yes, our platform isn't tailored to a specific niche, we have just seen an influx of gaming content on our platform due to many gamers wanting to try a new platform such as ours. We have been making an effort to spread into other categories as well. As you can see, we have had gamers and vloggers starting to post which is awesome. 3. For the copyright protection policy, we are trying our best to monitor to keep not only our platform safe but our creators safe. We are also trying to work with companies to give us rights, so our creators are able to expand their content. 4. The content posted on the website will also be connected to the app, so you will be able to enjoy the content on both web and mobile.

You mentioned some pain paints and strict monetization policies as reasons for building Yivster. As someone who has no experience as a YouTube creator, it’s hard to really grasp what these pain points and restrictions mean for creators like you. And how/why they were reasons behind your lack of success on YouTube. Would be great if you could share more details on all that. Congrats on your launch!

@julienergan of course for example on YT you have to meet a certain requirement in order to start monetizing your content. To get monetized on YouTube, you need 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watch time. On Yivster there are no requirements at the moment in order to start receiving tips any user can who uploads a video. We believe users should be able to at least have the option to earn something. That’s just one example. Another example is the amount of competition on YT. YT of course is the biggest video platform out there so it’s tons of competition out there and can be hard to get your content discovered. That’s why on Yivster we want to build better algorithms so that everyone has a chance to appear on search results as well as the home page of our platform. These are just a few examples.

Grats on the launch. You might want to take a look at how your videos look on different devices. On ultra-wide screen they are unwatchable, for example but looking pretty bad elsewhere too. Hint: max-height: 720px; width: 100%; object-fit: cover;...depends on what they have to fit-cover... 👀

@stylar_ai of course. At the current moment you have the ability to start earning tips on the platform through tips. Which we do a 80/20 split on. You don’t have to wait until you meet a certain watch hour or sub count. Also, currently at the moment our homepage is constantly fetching new content everytime you go to the platform, so that increases your discoverability as well. We also would be more than happy to share you content on our social media. We’re honestly here to help. We’re still in beta but we’re constantly improving and will be adding way more creator friendly features. 😁
