Everything in the digital world evolves, but most photo apps just keep polishing the same old "perfect" look until everything feels fake and glazed-over. I'm so tired of it too. That's why I built Yan — not another beauty/filter app, but a little digital chaos machine that actually lets your photos breathe (or scream). I made it because I got sick of "enhance" buttons that make everyone look like a Instagram clone. I wanted something that breaks rules on purpose, that turns boring pixels into something raw, weird, and honest. [What Yan actually does (right now):] Luma Stretch — yank the light and shadows around like they're elastic, add speed lines for that motion-sick vibe. Pixel Sort — let gravity (or chaos) sort your pixels. Colors rain down, structures collapse — pure catharsis. RGB Shift — that intentional chromatic aberration / drunk 3D effect. Feels nostalgic and wrong in the best way. Block Jitter — like your photo got corrupted mid-save. Ctrl+Z's worst nightmare. Live mode works in real-time on your camera too, so you can see the destruction as it happens. Why bother? Because glitch isn't just an effect — sometimes it's the most truthful way to show how fragile and messy digital stuff really is. I built this for people who are bored of "vintage #47" and want to deconstruct instead of decorate. It's still early (my side project baby), totally free to try right now, no ads/subscriptions yet. I'd love if some of you glitch/art/photo weirdos give it a spin and tell me: Does it crash on your device? (Android/iOS both supported) What effect feels the most fun/therapeutic? Any wild ideas for new glitches you'd want? Download here: https://yan.yichenlab.com Thanks for reading — really appreciate any feedback, screenshots, or just "this is cursed and I love it" comments. Your camera roll deserves some chaos. ❤️
