The "find words in context" is the most useful feature, imo. Sometimes I noodle on which word to use describe something and this some (sometimes) relevant results: Also check out the Hemingway Desktop App

Hey @rrhoover, we just released a new version for Chrome, in case you want to check it out: https://www.producthunt.com/post...
I don't understand how searching google for similar phrases is supposed to improve your writing. Don't good writers try to avoid clichés?
@nbashaw Guys like me, who don't really speak English, has zero knowledge of the right way to combine words in a sentence, always use google to validate whether the phrase is used by others, so that the guys like you would have zero trouble to understand what I'm trying to say.

Loved the video - I think it's really cool that your bringing this into an app. Instantly downloaded after watching the video. Unfortunately, I had a very confusing on boarding experience. After paying for the app on PayPal, my first login meant I had to sign up (why is signing up necessary to use a writing app?). Then I confirmed my account. Now when I double click the app it doesn't start... Except now I just realized it does start, but it hides in the top-right. I understand the way it works now after looking over the tutorial, but I think you should add the tutorial in the actual app on first-start so people won't be as confused as me. I was really pissed off at one point >.<
Hi @amir_rezaa Thanks for your feedback! I'm sorry you got confused at first. We're actually working on a new version of Writefull which will open the tutorial when the app is used for the first time - this will explain where to find Writefull. About the signing up, this is necessary to track how many Web queries users make. Credit for these web queries is put on your account. Hope this clears things up for you!
This is the app I've been waiting for all my life!!! In the video they've shown exactly my workflow of picking the right words through google. Form-factor of Mac app is perfect. The popover being launched only on explicit request is perfect. Shortcuts for options within popover are perfect. Purchased. I really hope it works as advertised. Great job on the execution and thinking through the details!
Thanks @nikitakorotaev! Glad to hear you like the idea! We're working on a new version with some more features and an improved workflow - you and all other paid users will get it for free once it's done.
Nice app. You should consider selling the Mac version though the app store. That would give you instant credibility and help sales numbers.
Hi @geneles, thanks for your feedback. We can't sell Writefull in the App Store because it doesn't pass the strict Apple policies. For example, the method we use to capture the user selection doesn't comply with the Apple sandboxing rules.
@_jpcastrog_ Interesting. I use Popclip, which relies heavily on selection. They sell through the App Store. (http://pilotmoon.com/popclip/)
@geneles @_jpcastrog_ Popclip has been in the App Store since before they enforced sandboxing (https://twitter.com/pilotmoon/st...). Same goes for Dash, Alfred and a few other apps.
@boyvanamstel @geneles I can confirm that Writefull doesn't run on sandboxing mode :/
