This is a nice, simple text editor, with a good range of basic formatting tools. I like the design and the fact it supports markdown - that's one of the best things about it for me. It's currently only available for Windows, but I'm looking forward to the Mac version (apparently in the pipeline)!

This looks great, Ria! Exactly what I needed. :) Also, I added it to Goodies for Creatives: http://www.producthunt.com/@v4vi...

@violetanedkova just joined PH but I'm looking for a hunt for my startup (a writing app) and would eventually love to be added to your collection for creatives. www.therightmargin.com

Questions for the maker: 1. How do I access the text formatting tools? 2. Will there be a save as word doc option soon? I'm sure I'll come up with more later.

Hi @v4violetta, Thank you for your interest in Write!. 1. There are two ways to access the text formatting tools - either by using the Ctrl+Space shortcut, or by right-clicking. Another way to format your text is by means of Markdown, Wiki or Textile syntax (press F1 to access the markup helper). 2. Save to .doc and .docx is being developed, but we do not have an ETA for this feature. Feel free to ask any further questions.

@nechiporuk_a Requests for features: 1. Autosaving. 2. A dashboard of all documents. 3. Tags and categories. Hehe. The more I use it, the more I think of.

@v4violetta 1. Autosaving is present in the app. It saves every keypress you make. Even if you select a piece of text and reboot your PC without quitting Write!, the selection will remain with the next launch of the app. 2. We are now working on our own Cloud (you can see it on the screenshots I've uploaded), and to some extent it will serve as a kind of a dashboard for all your documents. 3. Thank you for the idea, we will think of it.
