So Google is often held up as the master of everything to do with attracting top talent and making a cool, people-centric workplace. This book is written by the guy who is senior vice president of People at Google and it gives you a bit of a window into how they do things there - from hiring to peer-performance appraisals to culture building. Like any big business, they're not perfect, but some of the ideas in this book are total gold dust when it comes to building your own startup team. There are really cool ideas that, if you can get them in place from the beginning of your company's life, you'll be in a good position to attract and keep the best people.
