Hello. I'm the co-founder of wordlecup.io, along with @meharsonatrip. This is the first game we've ever built, driven by a desire to have a competitive Wordle to play with friends. Our target word dictionary is a curated set of 25k choices from Peter Norvig's list of the most common English words. This makes WordleCup refreshingly different from the NYT Wordle experience. Our game does not collect any user data, and also works on all mobile and PC browsers. We made this in 7 days and are constantly adding bug fixes and upgrades. Happy to share that within 2 weeks of launch, we've gotten 20,000+ site visits. Players are voting for the features they want most on our site's poll, and you can do so as well. More game modes coming soon! Thank you for the support. Hope you continue to enjoy the game!

It's nice to play a tournament, but the algorithm for managing players is flawed. Frequently, when I try a 'find a game', I get assigned to a game already in progress, but I join it at a later round - for example 3rd round - and the earlier players have their previous scores from earlier rounds whereas I start at zero. This is unfair; it makes it hard to win. Furthermore, if there are no other players, it makes it a game of one, which is stupid as I can play single games anywhere. The algorithm should ensure that in a multiplayer game we all start at round 1, or else allow late joiners to make up missing rounds before the final score is calculated.
