WoRD is a speed-reading trainer for iPhone. It shows you one word at a time (the RSVP method) so your eyes stop wandering and your speed climbs. It comes with 720 stories in 4 languages, a personal reading plan, progress stats, and a new arcade that turns reading into a game.
been using WoRD for a couple weeks and the RSVP pacing actually works, my wpm went up nicely. one thing id love is the ability to import my own epub or pdf files so i can practice on books i already own instead of only the built in library.

tried it for a few minutes and honestly the arcade mode is weirdly motivating, like i actually wanted to keep reading to beat my score. the one-word-at-a-time thing felt awkward at first but you kind of get used to it

Tried the arcade mode out of curiosity and it actually makes speed drills feel less like homework. The 720 stories across four languages is a nice bonus too, plenty of material to practice with without it feeling stale.
