Hey ProductHunters! We’re super excited to show you our new app Wild Weather. Wild Weather combines hand drawn illustrations with accurate forecasts. It comes with dozens of illustrations for all kinds of weather types. Wild Weather matches your location, time of day and current weather condition. Let a deer brighten up your rainy day or spot the owl on a cold winter night! We tried to go with an original take on the weather app, as you all know there are so many weather apps out there :) We focussed on designing a unique visual weather experience, by only using hand drawn illustrations and getting the animations just right. We’re working on adding more landscapes and animated weather conditions. The Android version is in development and scheduled for release early next year. We also wrote about Wild Weather on Medium: https://medium.com/@workbymark/w... Please share your feedback and questions and thanks again!

@workbymark - why another weather app :) ? (I always ask) In such a crowded space, do you think you can compete? Or is this more of a fun side-project? FWIW the illustrations look really nice but as I've said before on weather apps, I don't ever spend any time in a weather app. At most I'll look at the weather app on my iPhone and out the window :)

@bentossell Good question :) It all started because we wanted to make the app. We also intentionally made this app NOT for everyone. There are many apps out there, including the stock weather app, that do fine as a utility. This is more for people that are into weather apps and love the hand drawn illustrations. As a result we received great response from true fans who use the app frequently on a daily basis.

Great choices in the amount/type of information displayed. So often I find weather apps lean too far in either the direction of minimalism (and you're left without precipitation % or wind for example) or load down the app with so much information it's unusable. Fantastic illustrations as well. This is a nice, simple, attractive weather app -- good luck with it.

@chrisdolle That’s awesome to hear! So nice you noticed the effort we put in combining illustrations and functionality, balancing visuals and data. Thanks!
