This book, which I picked up for entrepreneurial reasons, made me want to go back to school to be an ethnographer. It's how a scientist would go about learning about people's buying habits--and it's fascinating. The updated version is of even more interest to the startup crowd, who might have been less interested in the previous version's retail focus.
