This is a quick quiz that is based on the book The Procrastination Equation. It helps you identify and isolate the exact reason for your procrastination, and offers suggestions to fix it immediately.

Help me better understand myself and why I react the way I do.

I sometimes proscratinate when I'm stressed and this tool allows me to better understand the causes. The main reason according to Why Do I Procrastinate Is Too Much Impulsiveness. I have to fix this and I already found that tasks that feed my imagination let me be more focused so when I do something boring I try to think about my long term goals and all the creativity I will find on the road. It's helpful to put words on these kinds of issues.

Gave me suggestions for how I can do better.

Would love for the quiz section to have more visual aids / images.

Its a good way of doing some introspection and forcing yourself to confront the reasons why you're procrastinating. It also explains the reasons why you're doing it so you can control it and suggests ways to overcome it.

Hi Product Hunt! 👋 Procrastination is a big issue for me -- I find it difficult to finish up work and be consistently productive. One of the best books I've read about this, one that's really helped me, is The Procrastination Equation, which identifies the individual components of procrastination and distils it down to a mathematical equation. However, it's difficult to remember everything the book says, and apply that knowledge to a specific task in front of you. So I made an interactive quiz to identify what's causing your procrastination, and give you suggestions to fix it as well. Thanks to @abadesi, @leandro8209, @annchichii, @mhrnik, @keyul and others from the Women in Tech space for the cheers, encouragement and feedback 🙏 I'd love to hear if it helps you! 😃

@leandro8209 @annchichii @mhrnik @keyul @manasvinik I like how ironically the tool provides distraction from work BUT then at the end offers solutions and tactics... could be an idea to develop some more content to help fight procrastination. You could hyperlink tools like Pomodoro timers to help people stay focused. Nice work 🌟

This is great, @manasvinik. What are you planning to do with this next? I could imagine introducing a way for users to opt-in to getting prompted to complete the task X days later to help with accountability and re-engage those people for their next procrastination moment.

@rrhoover That's a great idea! Thanks! :) It's a super simple quiz at present, I want to add more content and features (inbuilt pomodoros, for example).
