I noticed that whenever I was trying to choose a place to eat or visit, I always ended up switching between multiple apps — Google Maps for location and reviews, then TikTok or Instagram to see what the place actually feels like. Reviews often didn’t match reality, and finding the right videos took time and guessing. I started building Waybz to make that process faster and more intuitive. The goal wasn’t to replace maps or social apps, but to connect them in a smarter way — so you can search once, see places on a map, and instantly jump to real short-form videos that show the vibe. During development, the idea evolved from “avoiding app switching” to being honest about the real value: reducing friction and helping people get to the right content faster. Feedback helped shape the focus on vibes, categories, and real user content instead of just ratings.
