I'm nervous-excited to share Vuna with you.

The backstory (because context matters):

I built Vuna because I was frustrated. Not with my finances – with finance apps. Every finance app either wanted $/month, bombarded me with ads, or made tracking a $2 coffee feel like filing taxes and with others I wasn't too sure if they are safe as they seemed to be.

I just wanted to know where my money went. And maybe save and budget for things without feeling judged by an algorithm.

So I built Vuna. "Vuna" means harvest in Swahili – the idea is you plant good money habits, nurture them, and eventually harvest the results. No shortcuts, no gimmicks, just clarity.

What makes Vuna different?

🌾 It's completely free. No ads. No "freemium" bait-and-switch. No selling your data. Just... free.

🌾 Built for humans, not accountants. Split a grocery bill across categories, attach receipt photos and PDF too, set up recurring bills, and create savings goals and track without needing a finance degree.

🌾 Your data stays yours. Everything lives on your device. No cloud servers.

What's inside:

✅ Budget management with overspending alerts

✅ Savings goals with visual progress

What's NOT inside (honesty time):

❌ Export/Import (On the roadmap – I promise)

❌ Bank sync (intentionally – keeping it simple and private)

Why I'm here:

I'm sharing Vuna because I think budgeting shouldn't be a luxury good. If this helps even a handful of people feel less stressed about money, it's worth it!

Later, as Vuna grows, I'm planning to open source the whole thing.. Transparency + community contributions = better app for everyone.
