Vocabulens is a simple and powerful vocabulary app that helps you learn new words more efficiently. Save words, organize notes, and practice with sentence-based exercises (Duolingo style). Scan text from images and translate instantly before saving it to your notes (Google Translate style). All saved vocabulary is available offline, making studying easier anywhere. Perfect for students and language learners.
I was inspired to build this app because I often struggled to keep track of new words I encountered while reading or studying. Switching between multiple apps to translate, save, and practice vocabulary was inefficient, so I wanted to create a single tool that makes the process faster and more organized. The goal was to solve the problem of fragmented learning by giving users an easier way to scan, save, and practice words in one place—even offline.
Throughout the development, my approach evolved based on real usage and feedback. I refined the UI to make the workflow more intuitive, improved stability by addressing issues that appeared in release mode, and enhanced several features to match how users naturally interact with vocabulary apps. This iterative process helped shape a more polished and user-friendly final product.
