Interesting app, I'll check it out. At first glance, it looks more like a "Shazam for Wine" than a discovery platform. (Take a picture of the label to get more info on it)

@staringispolite That's how I use it Jonathan. Now you've mentioned it, I'm going to start trying out the 'nearby places' feature. It might even lead me to a restaurant because of the wine they sell!

I've used many in this space, and Delectable is my fave so far. https://www.delectable.com/

Awesome, checking it out now. Speaking of wine services: have you tried Tasting Room? https://www.tastingroom.com/ Seems like Lot18 may not be long for this world, but that aside, I'm very curious if TastingRoom lives up to its promise.

It's really great for when you are out and taste a great wine, take a shot of the bottle and save it for later. This way I never forget a wine/vintage I like. Also lets you know the price, which is helpful so you don't pay too much for it!

Vivino's scanner doesn't seem to work consistently, I recently tried at Balthazar here in NYC and it couldn't pick up the fonts. I do LOVE the premise though and hope to use it more frequently. Fascinating blog content as well.
