Track and visualize your mental wellbeing (mental health) šŸ§ šŸ“ˆ

For a long time I have suffered w/ anxiety & recently much more acute OCD. As a data nerd I wanted an app to track the effects that lifestyle has on mental health and also give a more objective view of the effectiveness of medicines & therapy. I built it for myself but I hope that by making it public it will help at least one other person. 😊

Hi all! I’d love to share my latest passion project with you.. For a long time I have put up with severe anxiety and recently much more acute OCD. As a bit of a data nerd I wanted an app that would help me to track the effects that lifestyle has on mental health and also give a more objective view of the effectiveness of medicines and therapy. I built it for myself but I hope that by making it public it will help at least one other person better understand their mental wellbeing on a road to recovery. 😊 You can sign-up for free at https://vividwell.com/. Please pass it on if you know someone who could make use of it! šŸ§ šŸ“ˆ Early stages so far but lots more features in the pipeline. In the next couple of weeks I am introducing PHQ-9 & GAD-7 tests, custom check-in fields. Also scheduled are Fitbit and Amazon Alexa integrations. No budget for native app store apps yet but I have gone to a great deal of effort to ensure that the process is very smooth as a homescreen web app for now!

@bscottx Absolutely! The custom fields are about a week away I think. They are numerical. I would like to add some custom text fields but need to have a think how best to display those in a useful way. 😊 Thanks so much for checking it out and your feedback.

@bscottx Hi B! Just wanted to drop you a note to say a basic version of custom fields are now live. I'd love to know what you think! https://vividwell.com/2018/07/up...

Love this idea! I like the ā€˜quantified self’ approach and there’s obvious value to seeing trends over time. What would you say to someone who likes the Vividwell concept, but doesn’t feel comfortable submitting mental health information to a ā€œrandomā€ webapp?
Adam Greenough
@jacobhartog Hi Jacob! Thanks so much for your feedback. I totally understand the feeling and it is something that is on my mind. Native iOS (and later Android) apps are in the pipeline and I would like to make these powered by local storage with the option of syncing up to the web service if the user wishes. One of the key drivers for hosting this as a web app in the first instance however was an interest in how large amounts of this data could be used anonymously to draw insights on what is having the biggest impact on peoples objective numerical scores and be able to share this information for the benefit of everybody. To be clear if I do implement some kind of wider insights this would be an explicit opt-in to get added to this data pool.

I think the idea is good. I had some trouble with the (mobile) site though. I kept on getting prompts to add the shortcut even though I already did it and I couldn't find a way to stop it. Second, I clicked the add check-in button and it redirected me to localhost:8888 so either I missed a step about launching a local vivid well server :) or there's a link that needs updating. Best of luck! Matt

@alabasteraxe Hi Matt, thanks so much for flagging those up for me. I have fixed that link in latest update and although I couldn't replicate it believe I have fixed a mobile prompt even if loading from homescreen!
